Did you know that the two greatest commandments or rules from God have to do with a heart? When Jesus was on earth, he taught the people and said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.”

So first, we must love God above anything and anyone. Do you know what the second commandment is? Jesus said, “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” We learn from Jesus that we need to not only love God first but we also need to love others. What does it mean to love someone? When we love someone we want to be with them, be kind, help them and follow them.

We can show our love for God by talking to him in prayer, read his words in the scriptures and help others. Jesus taught that when we serve others it is like we are serving God.
