Have your kids or primary children learn how to make Jacob’s ladder with string or yarn and teach them about the steps they need to climb to return back to God.

While Jacob traveled to look for a wife, God came to him in a vision or dream. He saw a ladder that reached heaven and God was at the top of the ladder. Jacob and God made a promise or covenant with each other. Jacob promised to give a 10th of everything he received to God and God said he would always be with him. God said, “in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 28:14) Jacob kept God’s commandments and was faithful to his covenants and promises. God changed his name to Israel and his family is known today as the House of Israel.
