Advent Gift Idea: Payday Candy Bar

#1 Teach: There are millions of hungry people around the world. We can follow Jesus Christ and do something to help others in need. Jesus always was ready to serve and bless others. Maybe you don’t always like what is on the dinner table, but you can always be grateful for food and eat it with a thankful heart. Jesus is always happy when we are grateful for everything we have. Continue to add to your Reverse Christmas Advent Box.

#2 Application: How does it make you feel to serve others and add to your Reverse Christmas Advent Box? Can you imagine what it might feel like to go to sleep hungry? Find ways that you can be grateful for the food you do have.

Service Idea: Put together Homeless Sock kits. Just put everything in the sock and leave them in your car. Anytime you see someone in need, pass along the stuffed sock! Shopping List: 1 Pair of White Socks, 1 Granola Bar, 1 Water Bottle. That’s it! It’s a simple list. You can add anything else you want, but if you keep it simple you can make a lot more and just add a couple dollars inside the sock too for the person to buy a hot meal.
