Day 14: Jesus Taught Us to Clothe the Naked Light the World

Song: Don’t Save It For Christmas

Scripture: Luke 10:30, 33-34

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

Advent Gift Idea: Take 5 Candy

#1 Teach: Jesus taught us to clothe the naked. We can do that by donating some of our clothes that we don’t use to someone in need. Can you find five clothing items in your closet that you can give to someone else?

#2 Application: Set the timer for five minutes and find 5 clothing items. Then when you are done, cut, color and put together a snowman and “dress” the snowman up! If it is snowing outside where you live, go build a snowman outside and find some clothes in your house to dress it up. If you don’t have any snow, you can make a snowman outside with rocks, a plant or whatever else you can find in your yard.

Service Idea: Donate the clothes you found to someone in need, a local charity or thrift store.
