And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

Advent Gift Idea: Candy Cane

#1 Teach: What do you think Jesus would do today if he was sitting here right now? Where would his feet take him? How would he bring a smile to someone’s face or lift someone’s burdens? How can you follow in God’s footsteps and be more like him? Just like a “cane” can help people that have trouble walking this candy cane is a reminder to be “sweet” like the candy and help someone else.

#2 Application: Using the paper, have your child trace their foot on it and write down what things they can do to be more like Jesus Christ to walk in his footsteps.
